BI WORLDWIDE's financial year finishes, opening new doors to new talent. With unemployment rates relatively low and demands for new talent on the rise, we look into what BI WORLDWIDE is expecting in the new financial year.
Recently identified within C&IT’s State of the Industry report, 86% of event agencies expanded their headcount in 2014, with 84% expecting to expand further in 2015. BI WORLDWIDE ended 13/14 Financial Year with 170 associates and have ended this year with a 2014/15 with 196, an increase of 13%.
With even more growth on the horizon, BI WORLDWIDE employed Talent Manager Shreena Lathwell, who is responsible for finding new recruits for the business as well as helping retain employees with various HR activities. Shreena explains:
“By establishing a slick and refined recruitment process you can build and maintain a pipeline of talent on which to call upon. However, more important than this is to ensure that once recruited, talent is not then lost. BI WORLDWIDE prides itself on ‘growing staff’ through training, development and progression and can boast growth of nearly 24% through various sourcing methods one of which is to form close links with local universities who offer Events courses.
“Whilst BIW maintains its expansion, we want to preserve our unique culture, which is experienced by Associates and visitors alike. From our annual BIW ‘Family Fortunes’ tournaments to our weekly Round-Up meetings to introduce new starters and catch up on the weeks successes, BIW really is the place to be!
“Employing a dedicated Talent Manager ensures new relationships are built and maintained in a professional and tactful manner and that BIW’s values are relayed, enabling BIW to source the highest calibre of candidates to join our flourishing business.”
