With confidence returning to the incentive events market, it’s pleasing to see airlines increasing their capacity on long-haul options.
So often, lack of accessibility makes long-haul options a logistical challenge with indirect, infrequent flights resulting in more time spent travelling than enjoying the destination itself. So when we heard that BA was increasing, nay doubling, its weekly flights to Rio de Janeiro, we sat up and took notice. There will now be six flights from Heathrow instead of the original three. This increase in traffic will no doubt increase Rio's popularity amongst event organisers.
Rio has always been a destination we’ve highly recommended in the past, its vibrant atmosphere and exotic appeal make the city a great incentive option. Not to mention the face that the climate is fantastic – something we Brits crave!

Rio is a great option for group incentives and offers a range of exciting and cultural group activities, such as: a visit to Corcovado Statue of Christ and Sugar Loaf Mountain, beach games, traditional churrascaria dining and a gala dinner with a full carnival show.
For this event we chose the Copacabana Palace Hotel, its luxury rooms, exemplary service and superb cuisine is a favourite of ours. But there are plenty more to choose from…Porto Bay Rio Internacional Hotel and the Marriot are both good choices.
