BI WORLDWIDE’s Events team spent the day with the highly skilled team at Raymond Blanc’s two Michelin-starred Belmond Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons as part of its continuous professional development training programme in brand excellence on August 27.
Opening its doors for the very first time to this type of collaborative training activity for an events management company, the Belmond Le Manoir Managing Director Philip Newman-Hall shared the company’s vision and expectations for setting standards of excellence in brand experience to the BIW team, illustrating how the care and attention to detail for the client gives the ultimate experience.
The day also involved wine and food tasting note taking, restaurant management insights as well as a workshop with the chef.
BIW’s objectives of the training were to give the team a deeper understanding of ‘six star excellence’ within the world of food and beverage. Events Operations Director Shaun Casey explains: “BI WORLDWIDE has implemented a comprehensive professional development programme for its Associates, which embraces experiential learning around premium brands and service delivery philosophy in the events sector.

My outtake from the day is that passion and pride for your profession leads to perfection!”
Project Director Sarah Stanyer shares her experience of the day: “I really respected their complete honesty and transparency. They were proud to be expensive, because they’re worth it. They have very high standards which were never deviated from.”
Project Manager Amy-Jo Brown also comments: “It was an absolute privilege to spend the day with the team at Le Manoir, who took the time out of their very busy schedules to help us learn about their standards and ways of working.
“A lot of their core standards and beliefs are in-line with those of BI WORLDWIDE, which is great to know we have such a robust base to work from. It is evident that they have a clear direction and vision and they really know how their product works, and how to work together as a team.”
The development programme has also included Associates attending a day with Virgin Atlantic’s training facility as well as completing an Emergency at Work First Aid training certification with the British Red Cross.
