As Learning at Work week approaches, BI WORLDWIDE celebrates its 10 year anniversary of taking part in the national campaign.
Learning at Work Week is an annual awareness campaign organised by Campaign for Learning. The purpose of this campaign is to give employees the opportunity to learn more within their organisation through a range of activities.
BI WORLDWIDE’s HR Director, Karen Minto comments: “We host the Learning at Work week for two key reasons. One is to help our Associates gain new knowledge and skills about the business, themselves and also their colleagues. The other is to bring fun to the organisation. As BI WORLDWIDE hits the busiest time of the year, it relieves and breaks peaks of pressure from Associates and teams by taking part in short fun activities.”
BI WORLDWIDE hosts a range of fun activities, including its own Family Fortunes game, treasure hunts, brainteasers, online training and exercises as well as knowledge sharing sessions with external and internal guests.
Karen continues: “We have extended the learning at work week to a week and a half as BI WORLDWIDE has gained a lot more Associates over the years and we feel it is important to give everyone the opportunity to participate. The leadership team are heavily involved with the activities we plan and we also include work shadowing so the leadership team can learn more about the areas they don’t work in.”
Over the 10 years, BI WORLDWIDE has found the Learning at Work campaign a huge success and it continues to give Associates the opportunity to expand their knowledge about the business as well as themselves. This year BI WORLDWIDE started the Learning at Work week early as its Newport Pagnell office is due to have a major office refit because of the increase/steady growth in staff numbers, reaching over 200 employees.
