Seasonal team building

Day 11: Seasonal team building and Christmas parties

With Christmas parties and end of year business meetings in full flow this time of year, it’s important to try and add a touch of Christmas cheer to your event. The best way to communicate any message is to make it impactful and memorable!

Festive team building favourites include ice carving and Christmas cookery workshops, seasonal treasure hunts and mulled wine receptions in almost any destination in any country.

BI WORLDWIDE is often asked by clients to create Christmas parties with a difference, sometimes opulence is the key, but sometimes working to a modest budget is a requirement. Either way, it’s no problem! Running events is all about being creative and adding memorable touches along the way.

Jaclyn Sammells, our Events Client Relationship Director, gives us the low down on one of the smaller budget events we ran for a Christmas incentive: “One of our key finance clients, provided us with a brief was to hold an intimate Christmas event for celebratory Christmas Party to thank 16 senior employees and their partners following a successful year.

“We wanted to ensure a fabulous celebratory event for our client and organised a two night stay at the iconic Corinthia Hotel, London. A business meeting took place at the client’s office whilst partners were taken on a ‘behind the scenes’ tour of London. The client wanted to provide something different for guests who had travelled from across the globe to the capital, therefore the private tour showed London’s secret locations that would not be included on a typical tour of the capital. They were then treated to spa treatments at the Corinthia’s award winning spa.

“In the evening, doormen from the Corinthia Hotel escorted couples to Embankment Pier where they were boarded a private boat for pre-dinner festive cocktails and seasonal canapés.

“On arrival at Bankside Pier, guests were given a private tour of the world famous Globe Theatre as they sipped mulled wine and spiced warm cocktails. The tour ended in a private room at the top of the Globe Theatre, overlooking the River Thames. Guests enjoyed a traditional Christmas meal, whilst Shakespearian actors read a ‘modern day version’ of Shakespeare’s plays! The client was delights and the season was off with a bang.”
